Easily change the color of your car interior! Paint with www.simplyspray.com
A friend of mine is getting ready to paint his CM 690 and wanted to do a test run to see how the colors look. So, we stripped down his 10 year old Pentium III case and made this video while we were at it. This is not meant to be a tutorial by any means. Question by Magaroni: Accidentally put interior paint on the exterior of my home?
There was a mix up at the paint store I guess. There was existing exterior paint on the trim, I painted it today with interior paint – can I just put exterior paint over it or do I have to strip it off?

Answer by Ingrid
No problem. Over a number of years I have used interior paint outside and NEVER had a problem
I even used interior paint on a walkway which our Doberman uses
extensively and it has lasted for years.
And when I have paint cans with leftover paint I mix Exterior with Interior all the time. I am of the opinion that the difference in paint is price.

It looks good though!
see the website: simplyspray
hey u got some more?
Is it temp. or per.? And about how many bottels it take?
@hmobvaj2 That’s why you PRIMER between sanding and painting, primer fills in the deep sanding accidents you do, and will give it a good area of grip for the paint.
ahahaha, the comedy section is awesome.
xool mask xD
it looks kool like the red
Not Use Primmer? lol
i have a part that i sanded it and painted and it turn out to look like there is scratches on the surface that is why i think sanding is not good
You sand the surface so that the paint/ primer has something to bite into. On a small level you are increasing the surface area so more paint fills the tiny void for a durable finish.
why do you sand it…i dont sand my parts..it still look good…but if sanding make it look better i think i will to sand my too…
@ArberTheBarber Rust-O-Leum Chrome and satin black with red metallic.
What spray paint did you use?
the red parts make me think of halo
i never had any case painting experience and sprayed mine with out any primer or sanding D: it chips easily -.-
hat rivet gun looks hard to squeeze. I bought an air rivet gun as I have the compressor & filters.
I know it will be a thousand times easier to rivet the case.
I had to search for 2 hours to find black countersunk rivets. My Lian-li takes countersunk rivets.
It also brings out the colour & gives a mirror finish if polished.
Those colours are very nice though.
I am going for red & black in my case.
Black satin powdercoat inside & HOK black paint with Kandy apple read or brandywine red (have both) flames outside.
I might also paint the PCI & hard drive brackets red as it looks very nice & the Kandy reds are amazing, do a search for House of Kolor kandys & see, you will like them.
No clearcoat on this one. It would have definitely helped as we chipped it putting it back together. If I ever do another rattle can paint job you can bet I’ll be putting 2+ coats of clear after the color coat.
Hi did you clearcoat the paint? If not you will notice the paint will chip over time.
What is the best spray paint to use? or should i just look for metal spray paint?
can i pick this shit up at canadian tire?
yes yes… always sand and prime. also, make sure you post a video of your results!!
ahh so you reccomend sanding and priming anyway, ok ill do that xD ty for the response!
That would be the best time to do, but you must prep any metal before spraying. You can spray it without sanding or priming, but its gonna chip if you sneeze. At a minimum, I would use 80 grit sandpaper and scuff sand the surface, wipe the dust, then spray 1 coat primer, then 2 coats color. To do a really good job, take your time to sand, spray 2 coats self etching primer, then 3 coats color coat. Do yourself a favor and do it right! Best of luck…
Just wondering, if you bought a brand new case and you wanted to change the internal colour could you just spray it straight away. I’m lookin at the Antec 200.
mm if i dont do the primer, what will happen? if i do just sand with sandpaper, than clean than apply the black spraycan
yes yes… sand first, clean, then apply 2 coats of self etching primer on all metal surfaces. what paint are you talking about, the red, black, or chrome? the black was a satin black, the red was metallic and I think there is only one kind of chrome.
hey, dont u have to do the primer before painting? or is that for the outside of the case? also what paint is that? what is the name?
yeah lol
